2% FOR MARINE CONSERVATION

As a brand that grew from a fundamental interest and passion for the natural world, we recognise our responsibility to manage our impact. With this in mind we are actively looking for ways we can operate in more sustainable and ethical ways and give back to the natural world that inspires us.

Since the start of our journey, Ruth has paid homage to the ocean through the development of 'Encrustations' - an ethereal collection of jewels inspired by stories of forgotten underwater worlds, enchanting seascapes, abundant coral gardens and hidden nautical treasures. It has grown to be our biggest and most loved collection, with its sales topping that of our other four core collections. 

In recognition of this, we're committing 2% of all sales from our Encrustations collection to support the Marine Conservation Society in their efforts and initiatives to protect our oceans for generations to come.

The ocean is in a state of emergency. While the situation is critical, taking action to reduce emissions and pollution can still shift this trajectory. The Marine Conservation Society is an environmental charity dedicated to protecting our oceans: defending crucial habitats; regenerating vital ecosystems; and inspiring volunteers to tackle the nature and climate emergency. Working throughout the UK in protecting our seas, they also contribute to international data and legislation.
