Delivery Information

We offer free worldwide shipping for ​Online purchases​. All UK orders are insured and sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery, and for other countries couriered via FedEx.


Delivery time varies depending on payment clearance and product availability. Please refer to the delivery details for each product on the product detail page - some pieces are 'ready to ship' and others are 'made to order'. We endeavour to deliver 'ready to ship' items within 3-10 working days within the UK, and 5-12 working days for other countries. 'Made to order' items will be dispatched after their advertised lead times.

We post orders out on a weekly basis each Tuesday and Thursday. For urgent delivery requests please contact us at the atelier. Maximum delivery time is 8 weeks if the item has been made to order, we will inform you if that is the case. Please contact us directly to find out current stock availability if your order is more urgent than the turnaround times stated.


Orders will be dispatched using Royal Mail’s Special Delivery service. 

Parcels will need to be signed for in person, so please state a delivery address where someone will be present to receive it. In the event that nobody is available to receive your item, a card will be left providing you with the option to have the item delivered at a later date or to collect your parcel from your local collection Post Office depot. A tracking number will be supplied via email when your order has been dispatched.

We are happy to offer a same day courier to London addresses, provided we have the item in stock. Please contact us at the atelier for more details.


Shipments of fine jewellery to France by law require a French broker to handle customs clearance. This means that when your shipment arrives in France, FedEx will get in contact with you to appoint a French customs broker to complete the process (we can recommend a broker if required, if so please contact us). Your choice of broker will be responsible for taking charge of the shipment from FedEx, clearing it from customs, and organising the delivery to your address in France. Please note that this broker will be at your expense. VAT will also be payable on each shipment. Please familiarise yourself with the clearance costs involved by contacting the French customs authorities, as we are unable to advise you or assist in this respect.


For international deliveries we use a fully insured priority courier service with FedEx that endeavours to deliver the package in 1-5 days (pending customs delays) depending on where in the world the item is being sent. 

Ruth Tomlinson Ltd cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by customs checks in the country of destination. Please familiarise yourself with your country's local import processes for receiving international deliveries. Any customs charges, associated handling fees and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer. A tracking number will be supplied via email when your order has been dispatched. 


Our gift vouchers are generated digitally and will be emailed to you. If you’d prefer a physical gift voucher, please contact us directly. Your gift vouchers will be sent via Royal Mail Recorded 1st Class post or International Airmail.


Your order will be dispatched in an unbranded external envelope or box. The jewellery is packaged in a branded Ruth Tomlinson jewellery box, which is protected by tissue paper. If the recipient and shipping address is different to those of the person who placed the order, we will assume that the order is a gift and a receipt will not be included in the package. If you would like a personal message to accompany any gift orders, please contact us directly.

All gift vouchers will be sent in a thick paper envelope.
