The Atelier

Tucked away down a quiet side road, a stones throw from our local suppliers and the bustle of Hatton Garden, is our home at 10 Hatton Place. Once the headquarters of a Victorian bullion dealer, we moved into the historical space in 2018 and transformed it into our independent London Atelier. We welcome visitors by appointment to discover our world.

Our Showroom

The ground floor is home to our showroom where all appointments are hosted. This room is a treasure trove of discovery – from the jewels to the displays of curiosities and unique finds Ruth has collected on her travels – there are wonders to discover throughout. A collaboration with award winning contemporary furniture designer Gareth Neal, the furniture and workbenches have been custom-made and the beautiful seating area at the centre of the room - part of Neal’s Brodgar Collection - was handcrafted in Orkney with oak and straw, using traditional techniques. Our vintage jewellery displays and props perfectly complement the jewels, and Ruth’s passion for history and unconventional beauty. Our showroom is also where Ruth’s personal workbench is located – when you visit you may catch a glimpse of her creative approach to fine jewellery as she works on new jewels.

OUR WORKSHOP & OFFICE

Our workshop is located on the first floor. Flooded with natural light, it’s where all our jewels are handcrafted by our team of highly skilled goldsmiths. We invite you to take a peek when you visit, if you’d like to see where your piece has been lovingly created. With custom made workbenches, this space has been seamlessly designed to merge contemporary design with the practicality of a busy workshop. Crafting a Ruth Tomlinson jewel is a collaborative endeavour, with multiple hands contributing their specialised expertise throughout the production journey to the final product – nearly all of which is done in-house by our team: from wax work, to stone setting, and meticulous finishing.

The top floor is where our office team is based, covering customer care to operations, marketing and wholesale. Our London Atelier is the base for all aspects of Ruth Tomlinson fine jewellery. Discover for yourself when you step foot into our home at 10 Hatton Place.
