We’re growing our London team! – Ruth Tomlinson

We’re growing our London team!

We’re hiring! We’re growing and adding to our friendly team based in our central London studio. We’re recruiting for 2 brand new roles - if either of them sounds like your cup of tea (or someone else you might know), we need to hear from you!

OPERATIONS MANAGER - 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday

As Operations Manager the role-holder will be responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure is in place to maintain current business and support the development of business both in the U.K. and overseas.  They will oversee the smooth running of day to day operations from production to dispatch and so applicants should be experienced in implementing and managing key business processes and administration and have a good awareness of how to create efficiencies through technology and sound financial planning.  They will have at least 2 years’ experience of managing operations within high-end fashion retail, and ideally of jewellery production in a studio environment. Excellent people and relationship management skills, an eye for the detail as well as the big picture and a willingness to really get stuck in are essential.

This will be an interesting and varied role for an experienced Finance Manager keen to work with a small business or in the exciting world of retail.  The hours will be one day a week initially, with an opportunity to extend them as the business grows – and your role will be pivotal in enabling this.  You will be responsible for providing financial advice, reports, analysis and support to Ruth and her managers to enable them to make sound business decisions and to run the business in a cost efficient manner.  You will be able to coach and advise the Management Team on the financial implications of all business strategies and decisions before they proceed with them and ensure that budgetary planning is in place to support the Company’s strategic and operational plans. You do not necessarily need to be a qualified accountant (although this or AAT qualifications would be an advantage), but at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role are essential, as are understanding of statutory legislation and regulations, a hands on approach and excellent communication skills.

If you’re interested in applying for either of these roles, please email your CV to with a covering letter explaining what you will be able to bring to Ruth Tomlinson. The closing date is 30 April.
