A short sunny weekend in Hastings

Follow

I took advantage of the extended summer and spent a sunny weekend wandering around the avenues of Hastings. Sea weather worn old shops fronts, with a mixture of old paint and sea salt provided some great inspiration for colour and texture.

Masses of rope, fishing nets and salt worn timber provided me with nautical enthusiasm; along with a vist to the shipwreck museum, located in the Maritime Park area of Hastings (www.shipwreckmuseum.co.uk). An intriguing place filled with barnacle encrusted artifacts with a history of many an untold fishermen tales.
