The Karl Blossfeldt at the Whitechapel Gallery

The Karl Blossfeldt exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery was a must for me. His photographic plant portraits are a mix of both scientific observation and sculptural form. They display the tactile qualities, intricate form and mystifying details of flora and reminded me of my childhood observations of fern growing up in the Lake District.
