The story behind our diamonds
We deal with the same small selection of reputable diamond suppliers that we did when Ruth first started the brand. Many of the stones are antique, old cuts that have been recycled from centuries past, while others of more recent origin are sourced in the most ethical and environmentally responsible manner, adhering to the Kimberley Process.
Each stone that we use has been individually selected for its unique beauty, particularly our uncut natural diamonds and old miner’s cut stones. Please keep this in mind as the stones used in your jewellery will also be unique and will vary slightly in size and colour from other pieces that have been made or photographs you may have seen.
We do not provide GIA-certification for our diamonds as we do not seek to portray industry deemed perfection in our jewels. If you’d specifically like GIA certified diamonds in your jewels we can source these for you. Please bear in mind that GIA certification impacts the price of the stones, and thus the finished jewel, significantly.

Where we source our gold
Our gold, again, comes from our independent suppliers who have assured us that it has been ethically sourced and for the most part recycled.

If for any reason you are not happy with your order or you feel it is not in keeping with your request we would be happy to exchange it for you within 30 days of purchase. Please refer to our ‘Sales and Returns’ policy for purchases exempt of exchange or refund.

We love working with heirloom stones that carry a story and sentimental value, re-working them into a new and meaningful piece of jewellery that can be enjoyed and worn once again. Appraisals and Warranties

Valuations and appraisals
Although we can provide a valuation letter for insurance purposes once your purchase is complete, we cannot provide a formal appraisal. This requires an independent assessment by a certified appraiser.
Repairs + Reconditioning
Imperfections are part of the essence of the brand however, if you feel your piece has a structural fault, please return it to us for a full inspection.
-
Repairs
We assess repairs on a case-by-case basis. Due to the nature of our handmade jewellery, occasionally a stone may become loose. In this case we will endeavour to re-set it. We are committed to making our customers happy so please contact us as soon as possible if you experience any issues with your purchase.
-
Reconditioning
Although our jewels are designed to change with wear, moulding and adapting to the wearers lifestyle and habits through the years, we are happy to recondition items and return their original finish and lustre. Textured surfaces on the precious metal are superficial, gentle matte finishes will smooth out with wear. We charge a flat fee of £50 to bring the jewel’s original finish back to the surface.
Some of the jewellery in the now discontinued ‘Sketch’ collection is gold plated. This is done to industry standard, but as it’s a surface covering, it may wear in time depending on how often it is worn and the level of care it receives. We do offer a re-plating service on these items at a cost of in the region of £50 dependent on size of surface area requiring re-plating. Please contact us with details of your jewellery and we can provide you with accurate costing details.
