Meet the Team
It's long overdue that we introduce you to the team behind our jewels! We're a group of hard-working, independent women passionate about what we do. We're all based at the Ruth Tomlinson atelier in Hatton Garden, London's historic jewellery district, and we each play an important role in providing a special and unique experience to our customers.
Ruth (far right, at the bottom) heads up our team, the creative force behind her eponymous brand, she spends much of her time at the jewellery bench working on new design prototypes and bespoke customer commissions. Each and every one of our jewels has been designed by Ruth (in tiny detail!) and created in-house. She is a designer-maker, so each piece comes to life at the bench rather than on paper/on a screen, allowing for adaption and development of design during the making process, ensuring the creation has been considered from every angle along the way.
Belle and Ciara (on the balcony) are our two fine jewellery bench workers. Ciara has been part of the team for many years, now she splits her time between crafting our jewels and growing her own fine jewellery brand. Belle is new to the team, and is learning our unique processes and techniques whilst looking after our workshop and keeping it organised and efficient.
Kate (far left, at the bottom) looks after our marketing, website, wholesale accounts and general operations. Olivia (second from left, at the bottom) deals with all our retail sales enquiries, client appointments and customer relations. Abbey (to the right of Olivia) has the busiest job of all: assisting the team in maintaining an efficient and organised work space, welcoming customers to the atelier, and making sure your jewellery purchases reach you whether you're around the corner from us or across the oceans in a different time zone. Claire (between Abbey and Ruth) manages our studio and oversees the smooth running of our production processes.
We like to think that together we're not only providing our customers with a special and unique experience, but also pushing boundaries in providing an alternative to mainstream, commercial fine jewellery with Ruth's beautiful, creative imaginings.
