Ruth recently spent some time in Hawaii on an artists residency with Monkey Palm Mercantile on the island of Kauai, allowing her daily access to wander the remote coastlines and explore the ocean wilderness. We wanted to share a visual diary of her daily discoveries...
Kauai is known as the ‘the garden isle’. Ruth found that most of the time, she had the beach to herself, with all of the peace and tranquility in the world to seek inspiration:
"I’m in my happy place, nature is my playground, my meditation. It fills me with endless curiosity and intrigue. Looking closer and closer, I find shells the size of a grain of sand - just incredible. The entire place sparked a continuous fascination in the wonders of nature." RT
