Piet Hein Eek

I had the opportunity to visit the wonderful showroom of Dutch furniture designer Piet Hein Eek on my recent visit to Eindhoven. I have always admired his work, with use of reclaimed materials matched with excellent craftmanship, his pieces are make up a wonderful combination of a truly unique piece.   

Eek says of his work “Everyone is trying to make perfect furniture so I did the opposite, I made furniture that is imperfect. I like using materials that are worthless and acting as though they are precious.”
