Ruth’s favourite Christmas gift

We’re firm believers that when it comes to sharing gifts it’s the thought that counts. That personal attention of thought given always shines through and makes the token that much more special and meaningful. And, being devotees of handcraft, when there’s evidence of the giver’s imagination turned into a physical symbol we will be smitten.

A couple of years ago, Ruth’s boyfriend Gareth (an accomplished furniture designer and wood worker) created a special work of art for her Christmas gift - a highly detailed inlaid wooden tray. Something useful and practical that brings beauty and symbolism to modest domestic rituals such as enjoying a cup of tea in the garden.
