Competition time - wedding/engagement

To all of our wedding/engagement clients, we’re working on a new project that we need some help with! We’d love you to share your stories with us and in return you could win a £500 jewellery voucher and be featured in our new wedding/engagement film.
HOW IT’LL WORK:
Share a photo of you and your partner and/or your engagement ring on Facebook or Instagram, caption it with a story about yourselves - how he popped the question, how you met, or a special shared memory - then tag us (@ruthtomlinsonjewellery) and use the hashtag #ourRTstory

We were travelling to Barcelona to go to Primavera Festival, The Strokes were headlining and it was the perfect moment to propose – one of Emily’s favourite bands, in a beautiful city. Not quite that simple, first I had to survive a bag check at the airport with Emily close by, then hide the ring in the airbnb for a few days and finally carry the ring around the festival – a disaster waiting to happen.
Fortunately it all went to plan… The Strokes were playing ‘Heart in a Cage’ and whilst surrounded by thousands of people, after carrying the ring around the festival the whole day - it was more of a shout and went something along the lines of “Emily, can I ask you a question (long pause whilst she decides whether I can ask question or if she’d rather watch band) Will you marry me and make me the happiest man in the world?” It’s possible she may never have heard me, and had no idea what was going on but once the ring was on her finger she couldn’t say no. Hopefully not though!
