Japan - my haven

Follow

I had the opportunity to stay in a beautiful property of my cousins in the rural area of Kamiyama in Shikoku. The house was a former sake shop, constructed in a very traditional style made up of wood, paper and glass and reflecting the 1930’s era. A quaint home in a tranquil setting.

Forms and techniques used in this type of Japanese construction are not only suited to the climate but the style is deeply rooted in the evolution of Japanese culture.
