Origin 2011

Follow

I am currently showing at Origin at Spitalfields Market again this year. An amazing fair with and abundance of unique contemporary talent.

One of my favourites is Guy Bird who creates beautiful ceramic sculptures, mainly of birds, featured here on a twig.  I may have to purchase one before the end of the show.

There is some amazing paper art to marvel at.  Following on with my bird theme, here are some that are hand drawn and cut from maps and old atlases like these created by Claire Brewster.

Another paper artist - Rebecca J Coles - uses three dimensional decorative forms from everyday objects and transforms into beautiful desirable art.

There are some fascinating ceramics to be seen also. These vessels almost look as though they are fossilised coral - Mette Maya Gregersen

I have one of these rings at home which I have displayed on my window sill.  They are rocks exploding from coloured glaze, almost like eruption of earth from a volcano - Aneta Regel Deleu
